Gemini Arts Event November 2012 (91)
SUSSED celebrates its partnership with Valley and Vale Community Arts and Gem Art. Dazzling James Street on November 9th, 7:30pm, at SUSSED, Porthcawl, £3 entry. Be entertained by an award-winning Ethiopian & Welsh dance collaboration, listen to traditional Ethiopian music, and taste authentic Ethiopian delights at the launch of Gemini-SUSSED. The evening will feature world-renowned dancers, Junaid Jemal Sendi and Addisu Demissie, demonstrating their unique mix of contemporary dance with traditional Ethiopian influences. Junaid and Addisu have been dancing together in Addis Ababa since they were 12 years old, where they were spotted by the charity, Dance United, and have since gone on to achieve greatness across Europe. They now work with the Adugna Community Dance Theatre Company in Addis Ababa; changing the lives of disadvantaged young people through dance. -
