Volunteers
As a charity we need volunteers. However, we are unlike many other environmental charities with regard to the nature of our work. We are more strategic than practical. Examples of this can be found on the projects page.
Our director, Margaret Minhinnick, is currently seeking volunteer help for the organisation:
“We need help in areas of IT development, accounts, desk top publishing, research, promotion and project development. We also have plenty of smaller administrative jobs – all jobs which would be very beneficial to the charity. At conferences and events we always need many hands on deck. Help need only be for a few hours a week and may not even involve travelling to the office in Porthcawl if we can correspond through Email and the internet.”
In return for taking on aspects of work we can offer expenses and references for your help - something that graduates with research abilities can put to good use. Training is provided, there are opportunities to visit projects, and to enrol on courses.
If you feel that you would like to contribute some time, please contact Margaret at mm@sustainablewales.org.uk today or phone 01656 783405
We work with everybody - “from the street corner to the corridors of power.” Our clients include the Welsh Assembly Government and Environment Agency Wales, local authorities, health trusts, businesses, cultural agencies, individuals and community groups.

Help us build a green energy future
Good Energy is the UK’s only 100% renewable electricity supplier. We think all energy should be like this. A simple switch to our green energy significantly cuts your home’s carbon footprint and helps the UK towards an alternative energy future that’s powered purely by renewables.
We’re investing in new sources of renewable energy production and support a growing community of over 12,000 independent generators across Britain. We pioneered incentives for them almost a decade ago and have used this experience to develop an expert Feed-in Tariff service.
Together we can change the way the UK makes and uses energy. For good

If you decide to switch to Good Energy Sustainable Wales will recieve a small commission, but it won’t cost you any more. We’re powered by Good Energy, the UK’s only 100% renewable electricity supplier. All of their electricity is generated using natural power from the wind, water and sun or through sustainable biogeneration. Committed to growing the UK’s renewable capacity they support a growing community of over 10,000 independent renewable generators across the country. The redevelopment of their wind farm in Cornwall was the first in a pipeline of projects they’ve got planned – enough wind power to supply all the homes in a city about the size of Cambridge.
