‘PV’s 4 Free’ Project Hopes to get Back on Track.
The sudden decision at the end of 2011 by the Coalition Government to bring forward cuts in payments for domestic solar installations was a sickening blow to low-income families fighting fuel poverty. It also undermined community groups like those of us involved in the ‘PV’s 4 Free’ campaign working also to support the introduction of renewable energy. We placed the project on ‘hold’. However, we hope to have new financiers and want to get the initiative back on track. If you have a south facing roof and would like to be considered for free panels saving your daytime electricity bills for 25 years, get in touch to express your interest as soon as possible and we will place you on our list. You will also be helping all the local groups survive as the payments for the excess energy produced will filter back into the community.
