Kathryn Warren
Kathryn benefited hugely from an early career role at Sustainable Wales, learning valuable skills that stood her in good stead for her subsequent consultancy career. Kathryn has a background in engineering and more than 20 years’ experience across the energy transition and sustainable waste management, including a senior leadership role at a global plc where she led a large team specialising in heat decarbonisation.
Kathryn is now enjoying a balance of freelance work, board roles and voluntary work – and is looking to bring her skills and experience to Sustainable Wales and the wider community. Kathryn is passionate about the arts and their role in the regeneration of communities, and is a Trustee of Awen Cultural Trust. Kathryn enjoys the outdoors with her husband, young daughter and the family dogs. She is a keen runner and a Director of Maesteg parkrun.
Kathryn has recently completed a creative writing course, and as a new amateur writer is looking forward to being a regular at Sustainable Wales’ Green Room open mic evenings.
