Senedd Election Hustings
For Porthcawl public - 16th April 2026
Porthcawl based charity Sustainable Wales Cymru Cynaliadwy is holding a public hustings prior to the May 7th Senedd election.
The hustings takes place 7pm, THURSDAY, APRIL 16 in the Porthcawl YMCA (The Y Centre, 25 John Street, Porthcawl, CF36 3AP) https://www.facebook.com/theycentreporthcawl
All political parties are invited to attend and alert their supporters.
The chair for the event will be Margaret Minhinnick, Director of the charity.
Questions will be divided into sections, including climate change, our dramatic loss of biodiversity, and regeneration of Porthcawl.
Representatives of the political parties contesting the Senedd election will take part.
Entrance is free, but there is a discretionary collection for the charity.
Margaret commented: “May 7 is a vital day for the future in Wales. Our charity urges local people to attend.”

Note: Under the new electoral reforms for the 2026 Senedd election, the previous Bridgend constituency has been replaced. Voters in the Bridgend area will now fall into the new, larger Pen-y-bont Bro Morgannwg constituency, which elects six Members of the Senedd (MSs) via a closed-list proportional system.
