Calendar Sand Art 2026 (back)

We believe that the best way to support developing countries to reduce poverty is through trade. Our wholesalers buy from small scale producers who largely use natural materials and traditional techniques, they maintain long-term relationships with their suppliers, with no children or forced labour involved and receive good and fair wages.

Bamboo socks

To boost our Christmas sales we have socks available online.

and a beautiful calendar

Why Bamboo? Wool is unsurprisingly the highest CO2 emitter. Sheep belch and fart large amounts of methane – a greenhouse gas that is 80 times more potent than Co2.

Bamboo, is not perfect but needs much less water, (c. 1/3rd less) than cotton, saving farmers irrigation in countries where there are water shortages, it grows faster (yields are 10 times higher), the plant rarely needs replanting, needs less dye and fewer or no pesticides.

Or buck the trend and join the circular economy with 100% Recycled cotton and polyester socks.

Why Fair trade? When you choose fairtrade branded goods it means that producers, farmers and their families in the developing world, receive a fair price for their goods and so it’s a way of us helping address the injustices of conventional trade.

High environmental standards and democratic working conditions are met, maintaining a people and planet friendly approach to trade.
