Artist Kevin Sinnott gave the third talk in the ‘Counterpoint’ series organised by Sustainable Wales, on Friday, NOVEMBER 3, at 5 James St., Porthcawl CF36 3BG.
Kevin talks about his career as an artist in Wales and London, and the creation of his new gallery in Pontycymer, his labour of love.
Several of Kevin’s prints were on view in this presentation, which is one of the celebrations for his seventieth birthday. Kevin will also have prints of two of his paintings which he will sign and these and his book ‘Behind The Canvas’ will be available from SUSSED.

These talks are part of the charity’s celebrations of its twentieth anniversary. These culminate at the STAGE DOOR, GRAND PAVILION, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 6.30pm – 10.00 pm (more information will be published about this celebration event/AGM on the blog and events sections).
Expect music and poetry and a performance by Porthcawl’s own ‘One Time Alive’, launching their third album, ‘Red Shift’.

The meeting was chaired by Richard Thomas (Sustainable Wales) and Introduced by Councillor Huw David, Leader of Bridgend County Borough Council. Welsh Government and Rural Development Plan (reach, BCBC) representatives were also present to talk with attendees and provide information on their current activities. Thanks to all who attended and spoke, and the help of the Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl staff for enabling the event to run smoothly.
